Where this comes from

No restaurant owner has walked me through their week yet. This page comes from reading how small restaurant groups run their back office, and from a problem a local grocer described: credits for short or damaged deliveries that take too much follow-up.

What’s local about it

Nashville gets a lot of visitors as well as locals. I’d expect that to mean large parties, buyouts and private event inquiries coming in by email and form, often from people planning a trip. That’s the first thing I’d check, because a slow reply can lose the booking.

Many restaurants also take delivery orders through several apps, each paying out its own way.

Why in person helps

I’d want to see a Friday night delivery check-in and a Monday morning office before suggesting anything. I’m local, so I can.
